Len Kane (born 1932) of New Westminster, British Columbia founded Len’s Lift Truck Delivery Ltd. in 1962 with a single truck and trailer. Len built the business offering specialized transportation of forklifts of all types & sizes.

 Len’s expanded the scope of its services into Heavy Haul by purchasing Ranger Transport (founded in 1954) in 1979.

Over the last 47 years, Len built Len’s Lift Truck Delivery Ltd. and its division Ranger Transport into one of the largest material handling equipment transport carriers in British Columbia, fielding 20 trucks, 53 trailers and 25 employees.

In April of 2005, Len’s Lift Truck Delivery Ltd. restructured its organization and became a holding company renamed Kane Holdings Group Ltd.

Kane Holdings Group Ltd. created a subsidiary company known as Len’s Transportation Group Ltd. and its division Ranger Transport to control the trucking operations.

In June of 2008, Len’s Transportation Group Ltd. out grew its 2.0 acre property in Burnaby, and moved to a 4.0 acre property in Port Kells.

In November of 2008, Len retired from his position of director by elected his son, Len Jr.,  to direct the company.
